Bird Lover's Gifts

Springtime makes me think of all things outdoors... Sunny, warm days. Flowers in bloom. Veggie gardens. Cookouts. All of the beautiful things that we yearn for all winter long. Spring has also inspired me to create a few new pieces that would be perfect for adding a little something special to your outdoor (or indoor) spaces. I have a small obsession with little fat birds. I mean, they're just so cute! While I wouldn't consider myself a collector, I do have several chubby little birds decorating my own home. Now that I think about it though, it's starting to become more like a flock of little fat birds. Does that technically make me a collector? Perhaps. I'm sure there are others like me, who think these little chubby friends are just super cheery and bring joy to any space. So, with that in mind, these little creations were born. Coastal Nursery Decor

I'm not a mom. Well, not of human children anyway... we have the furry kind. That doesn't stop me from appreciating all of the gorgeous and creative ways that people decorate their baby's nursery. So many themes to choose from. So many color palettes. One that I always seem to be drawn to is a coastal/beach/ocean theme. I just love the colors, the sense of calm that they evoke. Could it be because I grew up on the ocean? Possibly. Probably. At any rate, I was inspired to create some beautiful metal decor pieces that I can only hope will be displayed in many coastal nurseries and adored by many young children for years to come. Every piece is made of sturdy, cast iron and hand-painted using a variety of Alcohol Inks which create the most amazing finishes. I use Kamar Varnish as well as a UV Protective Sealant to not only protect the finished pieces but to ensure the longevity of those stunning colors. Coastal Christmas

It's definitely been a minute (or months!) since I last posted. Sorry about that. I've been sinking so much time into growing my small business that I often don't have time for much else. I did want to pop in today to introduce everyone to my line of Coastal Christmas Ornaments. I'm a Long Island girl. Born and raised on the south shore of the island, the sun, surf and sand is in my blood. I may live in the mountains of Pennsylvania now, but my love for the ocean is still there. I decided to harness some of that love and pour it into a line of coastal inspired Christmas items this season. To me, the most beautiful things on earth come from Nature, so it seemed like a no-brainer to create some gorgeous pieces out of natural seashells and sand dollars.
