I'm not a mom. Well, not of human children anyway... we have the furry kind. That doesn't stop me from appreciating all of the gorgeous and creative ways that people decorate their baby's nursery. So many themes to choose from. So many color palettes. One that I always seem to be drawn to is a coastal/beach/ocean theme. I just love the colors, the sense of calm that they evoke. Could it be because I grew up on the ocean? Possibly. Probably. At any rate, I was inspired to create some beautiful metal decor pieces that I can only hope will be displayed in many coastal nurseries and adored by many young children for years to come. Every piece is made of sturdy, cast iron and hand-painted using a variety of Alcohol Inks which create the most amazing finishes. I use Kamar Varnish as well as a UV Protective Sealant to not only protect the finished pieces but to ensure the longevity of those stunning colors.
