Original Fired Ink on Glass

Image
With it being winter here in the Pocono Mountains, I haven't been doing any hiking at all and I've really been missing my creative outlet. (photography) As mentioned in previous posts, I've been working with Alcohol Inks in different ways and recently completed several fired ink on glass pieces. They are all original and one of a kind - no two are alike and simply cannot be reproduced. They are all 8x10. I'm quite proud of how they turned out. If you are interested in purchasing any of my work, stop by my  Etsy Shop  and take a look around. Woodland Creature Thank You Note Cards

Image
With Spring on the way (hooray!), I decided to create a set of note cards in a pastel palette. I love how they turned out!  Find them here, in my Etsy shop:  Woodland Creatures Thank You Cards "Hand-painted, original thank you note cards. Not prints. Each unique card is hand painted on Yupo paper using alcohol inks in a beautiful pastel palette of Pink Sherbet, Lettuce & Aqua and hand-stamped using black archival dye. The paintings are permanently affixed to the white card stock using non-toxic adhesive. Blank inside so you can write your own heartfelt message. This set of 4 cards comes with matching white envelopes. Please allow for minor differences as each card is made by hand and can vary slightly.  Each card measures 4x5.5 inches."

All you abstract art lovers and stationery addicts out there... check these out! I'm so proud of the newest additions to my shop. All original and one of a kind. There will never be any prints made so if you see something that you like, go on and grab them before they are gone! These are not only gorgeous as note cards, but they're totally suitable for framing too. Simply pop the whole card into the frame of your choice and you've got instant artwork for your space! I also love the idea of people using these in their scrapbooking and travel/dream journals. Really, the possibilities are endless.  I'm really enjoying creating these pieces, so keep an eye out for new listings! Trying Something New - Alcohol Inks

Image
Photography has always been my main squeeze. My first love. My ride or die. (artistically speaking of course) I've always been able to SEE the beauty in things, to capture it... but when it came to actually CREATING something beautiful, I always shied away from it. I thought that I didn't have *that* kind of talent or that people wouldn't like what I've created. I know, I know... it doesn't matter if other people don't enjoy it, as long as I do - but we all long for approval and acceptance, right? Right. Recently I decided to jump in, head first into a new medium. I didn't put my camera aside, it's like another appendage and I always with me... but I wanted more; something in addition to photography. I stumbled upon the world of alcohol inks. They fascinate me. The bright colors, the ability to create something stunning really quickly (you know, instant gratification and all that jazz), and probably most important to me - how incredibly forgiving they ...
